Who is Mars Velas?

Tatiana Benitez is the femme behind the candle. She is Salvadorean-American and currently resides in Seattle. She was one of thousands who lost their job during the pandemic, with her previously being in the service industry. With quarantine in place, she picked up a copious amount of new hobbies and candle making was one that really stuck. She is inspired by her community of artistic friends and is wanting to create beautifully colored, scented and unique candles; ones that won’t just smell nice but ones that will also look the part. She is constantly experimenting to bring you all some truly one of a kind candles.

Mars is also an acronym and stand for the initials of Tatiana’s mother whom she lost at a young age, and ‘velas’ means candles in spanish with ‘a mano’ meaning by hand.
